CANTON -- Cancer Action NY is sponsoring a public forum on pollution and cancer in the McKenney Middle School cafeteria, State Street, at 7 p.m. Nov. 9.
David O. Carpenter, MD, an international expert on chemical exposure and cancer and former Dean of the School of Public Health at the State University of New York at Albany, will make an opening presentation.
The forum is to increase public knowledge concerning the names of chemical carcinogens, where in the environment (soil, water, air and food supply) specific chemical carcinogens exist, and strategies to reduce exposure.
