GOUVERNEUR -- A “Drive-Thru Drug Take Back” event will be held Tuesday, Nov. 30 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Gouverneur Community Center, 4673 State Route 58. Hosted by State Senator Patty Ritchie with the assistance of the Gouverneur Police Department, the event is being held in an effort to help people clean out their medicine cabinets and in turn, protect the environment and improve community safety.
At the event, any unused or expired medications will be accepted, with the exception of needles, and syringes. Those who cannot attend can visit www.ritchie.nysenate.gov for information on other locations where prescription drugs can safely be disposed of.
