CANTON — St. Lawrence County Historical Association, 3 E. Main St., will present a book discussion with author Darren Bonaparte on his book “An Early History of Akwesasne: The Works of Franklin B. Hough” on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 12-2 p.m.
The discussion is free but donations will be accepted.
Bonaparte is an author, storyteller, artist and director of the Tribal Historic Preservation Office for the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe.
His latest book examines the life of Franklin B. Hough who was the first to document the early history of Akwesasne.
