BRIER HILL – The Black Lake Fish and Game Association is hosting a wood duck nesting box construction event on Saturday, March 18.
Families may come help build wood duck nest boxes at the Brier Hill Community Center Fire Hall, starting at 10 a.m.
The BLFGA has constructed nest boxes for many years. For the past few, they have enlisted the help of kids and families in their construction.
The St. Lawrence Waterfowlers and Jim Robinson have assisted by donating the materials. Robinson has the pieces all prepared for 65 boxes, and if you help put them together, each family will be sent home with one to be hung up where the wood ducks can use it. The remainder can be purchased from the BLFGA for $15 each.
