OGDENSBURG – The 51st annual Seaway Festival, billed as the biggest family reunion in St. Lawrence County, continues through Sunday, featuring music, fireworks, a parade, and a duck race and classic car show.
Nik and the Nice Guys will be the highlight show Friday night, just before the fireworks.
Ontario Amusement midway rides will operate from noon – 11 p.m. through Saturday, July 30 in the Greenbelt area.
The schedule of events follows:
• Friday, July 29 – Frederick Remington Museum Day, Remington Museum, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; guitar hero competition, 4 p.m., Greenbelt area; karaoke finals, 6:30 p.m., gazebo; performance of 1980s music by Nik and the Nice Guys, 8 – 9:45 p.m., main stage; fireworks, 10 p.m., Greenbelt area.
• Saturday, July 30 – annual Seaway Festival parade, 11 a.m., down Ford Street, with parade awards in Library Park; Maple City Mile, 9:30 a.m., starts at Roethel’s.
• Sunday, July 31 – third annual duck race, city docks, 1 p.m., $5 to sponsor a duck; antique and classic car show and flea market, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority grounds; Michael Cutwa fun, fly and model airplane show, 1 p.m., Propbusters Air Field.
