MASSENA—The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will host its “Beat the Heat Summer Movie Days” on Mondays in August at the admission-free Frank S. McCullough, Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center and Boat Launch in Massena.
The special summer campaign, which is in addition to the visitor center’s Friday matinee movie series, features a full day of free movies and popcorn every Monday during the months of August.
Family-friendly films will be shown at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the visitors center’s air-conditioned auditorium.
The schedule for August is:
Aug. 1:
10 a.m. “Free Willy”
1 p.m. “The Green Hornet”
3 p.m. “Tooth Fairy”
Aug. 8:
10 a.m. “D2: The Mighty Ducks”
1 p.m. “Soul Surfer”
3 p.m. “The Sorcerer's Apprentice”
Aug. 15:
10 a.m. “The Rookie”
1 p.m. “The Princess and the Frog”
3 p.m. “Kung Fu Panda”
Aug. 22:
10 a.m. “Legends of the Guardian”
1 p.m. “Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil”
3 p.m. “Toy Story 3”
Aug. 29:
10 a.m. “The Longshots”
1 p.m.”Mars Needs Moms”
3 p.m. “Shrek Forever After”
