CANTON – The Grasse River Players will hold auditions for the melodramatic murder mystery “Postmortem” by Ken Ludwig, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 4 and 5, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Canton Unitarian Church social room and on Monday, Dec. 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
The mystery is directed by Dorothy Mallam, who has produced such memorable Canton theater nights as last year’s “Enchanted April” and many others. The cast includes four women, young to older, and three (or is it four?) men, young to older.
Come to auditions to find out what that means. No one need worry about being the “right age.”
A copy of the script may be checked out overnight at the Canton Free Library.
Performances are scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17, 18 and 19, in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church on the Park, Canton.
The players are looking for new as well as the familiar faces. Anyone can sign up for the many, many fun jobs that go into putting on a production in a challenging venue. Set work, costumes (This is set in the 1920s) and many other small or large jobs are available.
