WADDINGTON -- The Waddington Concert Series 2019 will presents The Atkinson Family Band Friday, Aug. 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the pavilion, Island View Park overlooking the beautiful St. Lawrence River.
The Atkinsons are a well-established family band, rooted in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. They play a style all their own, an acoustic genre of bluegrass and Americana music, with traditional tunes and original songs which tell the stories of their lives in the northern mountains of the Adirondacks.
The band consists of Richard Atkinson on banjo, Shelene Atkinson on guitar, Liza Atkinson on mandolin and guitar, Sara Atkinson on bass and National Resonator Guitar Champion Dave Bevins. Adam will join them on occasion on mandolin.
This show is co-sponsored by KT Power, Village of Waddington and Art's Used Cars.
Series concerts are free but donations are welcome to support future concerts.
