CANTON -- AAUW and SUNY Canton will host the 11th Annual Professional Clothing Fair April 18 and 19 in SUNY Canton’s Miller Campus Center.
The cost of new clothing makes dressing for success an expensive proposition. But help is at hand for anyone looking to get a few items of clothing suitable for a job interview, student teaching, the office, or an employment upgrade, for free.
The fair will be in Miller Multipurpose Rooms 212-214, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 18 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 19.
Gently used or new clothing and accessories will be available thanks to generous donations from many North Country organizations and people. If you have clean, ready to hang clothing to donate, you can park in Lot 13 and drop it off 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 12 through 16. Charitable donation tax receipts using standard valuation charts ere available upon request.
For more information, or to donate clothing or your time to the effort, contact Connolly at 386-7325 or Connolly@canton.edu.
In 2003 AAUW earned a Make a Difference Day Award from USA Weekend magazine for the Clothing Fair in recognition of the spirit of community the event engendered.
