HEUVELTON -- During the COVID-19 pandemic, all BackWater Blues Band and Singer-Songwriter Shawn Stoddard shows have been cancelled until further notice.

During this “off time,” the BackWater Blues Band will be working on new songs and designing band merchandise that will be given to fans for free once COVID-19 is no longer a threat, said a press release from the group.

In the meantime, Singer-Songwriter Shawn Stoddard will continue to stay connected with the band’s fans by playing live via Facebook in sessions titled Quarantinepalooza: Streaming Live from the Shed.

The first show aired live on Saturday, March 28, and the second show is scheduled to air live on Saturday, April 4 at 8 p.m.

Even though there were a few technical glitches with the first live stream, fans tuned in from New York to New Hampshire and some venue owners hosting their own “watch” parties for the event, sad the press release.

“Music is very powerful,” said Stoddard, “I hope that Quarantinepalooza: Streaming Live from the Shed, brings people together through music and gives them a sense of normalcy at this time of uncertainty and isolation.”
