POTSDAM – The book discussion group sponsored by the St. Lawrence County Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will be discussing “Wolf Hall” by Hilary Mantel Wednesday, Oct. 13 at noon at the Potsdam Library.
Mantel's book, which won the coveted Man-Booker Prize, describes a tumultuous period in English history by showing the struggles faced by those behind the scenes. She concentrates on Thomas Cromwell and paints a character far different from the traditional interpretation of him.
The book for discussion next month Wednesday, Nov. 10 is “Newton and the Counterfeiter” by Thomas Levenson. For information, call Pat Musante at 265-7230. The public is invited and a brown bag lunch is encouraged.
