POTSDAM – The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will be discussing Breaking Out of Bedlam by Leslie Larson on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at noon at the Potsdam Library.
The novel features an outrageous, irreverent and wickedly funny 82-year-old woman who has been placed in an assisted living facility. Larson's novel, however, poignantly captures the loneliness and secrets that lurk in many families and the fears faced by elderly women with limited resources.
The book for discussion next month, March 9, is The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yoko Ogawa.
For more information, call 265-7230. The public is invited and a brown bag lunch is encouraged.
