OGDENSBURG — The St. Lawrence County Suicide Awareness Coalition has partnered with Seaway Valley Prevention Council and The Valley Recovery Center to include invaluable suicide prevention resources at the 2022 Recovery River Fest Saturday, Sept. 24.
Families are invited to a full day of fun, food, learning, and stories of hope.
This event will bring many resources to one place including information about the new 988 hotline and how to support those in recovery as well as their families.
That morning, registration for the 2nd Annual Recovery River Run 5k starts at 9 a.m., with the first 250 participants getting a free t-shirt.
The event will continue with the Family Fun Fest from 9 a.m.-1pm at the Lockwood Arena.
This will include vendors, refreshments, crafts and games for the whole family, trainings, and messages of hope that there is help available from the Office of Mental Health.
To close out the day there will be an indoor showing of “Lightyear,” complete with free concessions.
