CANTON — The Canton Office of Economic Development has announced several upcoming webinar opportunities.
“Podcasting for Business” will be broadcast Wednesday, April 7 from noon-1 p.m. Podcasts are exploding in popularity and small businesses are using podcasts to open new revenue streams and spark new growth from day 1 without needing to attract a huge new audience. This webinar will provide an overview of the different podcast strategies for business growth and give participants actionable steps to begin producing their own podcast.Presenter will be Zac Miller, Uncommon Image Studios of Potsdam.

“The Morning Buzz!”is offered on every Tuesday in April from 9-10 a.m. The Morning Buzz is a virtual (for now) opportunity to join St. Lawrence County Chamber Staff and learn about a relevant topic. The Morning Buzz will take place online Tuesdays in April from 9-10 am. You can call in or join by computer. You can just listen, or you can ask questions. Conversation will be casual, may include guest speakers, and will hit on the most pressing concerns and opportunities of the week. SUNY Potsdam Career Day will be held online on Tuesday, April 6 from 1-2:30 p.m. Employers and professionals will have the opportunity to mentor and connect with SUNY Potsdam students and alumni. The schedule includes introductions and partnerships from 1-1:30 p.m., followed by a networking event from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Finally, “Advanced Excel Training” will be offered Thursday, April 15 from 6-9 p.m. offered by the United Way of Northern New York’s North Country Center of Nonprofit Excellence.
