Monarchs in Madrid

Capturing shots of monarch butterflies in her garden, Madrid photographer Mary Gooshaw said, “I created the milkweed garden for just this reason.” Milkweed attract monarchs that lay eggs on the leaves and, after hatching, the caterpillars eat the plant’s leaves, their exclusive food.
