Taylor Ryan Murphy, Canton, and Laurel Danielle Vanderveer, Fulton, are engaged to be married.

Taylor is the son of Michelle Pharaoh, Canton, and Michael Murphy, Colton. He is a 2009 graduate of Hugh C. Williams High School. He participated in the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers apprenticeship program in 2014. He is currently employed as a mason with the BAC Local #2 through Lupini Construction.

Laurel is the daughter of Dan and Sophia Vanderveer of Fulton. She is a 2009 graduate of CW Baker High in Baldwinsville and a 2013 graduate of SUNY Potsdam. She is currently employed as the program coordinator and clerk at the Mexico Public Library in Mexico, NY.

The couple is planning an October 10, 2015 wedding.
