Edward and Robin Chambers, Ogdensburg, are proud to announce the engagement of their son, Michael Edward Chambers, Amherst, N.Y., to Daisy Catalina Zuniga-Newman, also of Amherst. She is the daughter of Daysy Newman, Brooklyn, N.Y.

Michael is a 2000 graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy and a 2005 graduate of SUNY Potsdam with a bachelor’s degree in history. He graduated in 2008 from the University of Buffalo with a master’s in social work. He is currently employed by the Western New York Veterans Affairs Hospital, Batavia, N.Y. He also serves in the U.S. Army Reserves with the 865th Combat Support Hospital.

Daisy is a 2006 graduate of the University of Buffalo with a bachelor’s in psychology, and a 2008 graduate of the university with a master’s in social work. She is a social worker at Lake Shore Behavioral Health Services, Buffalo.

An August 27, 2010 wedding is planned.
