Linda Jo Brown, and Mike K. Shaw, Canton, are engaged to be married August 28, 2010.

Linda is the daughter of Colleen and Donald Brown, 384 Pooler Rd., Dekalb Jct. She is a 2001 graduate of Hermon-Dekalb Central School and received a degree in Civil Engineering in 2009 from Clarkson University. She is the assistant safety coordination with Jefferson County BOCES.

Mike is the son of Pam and Joe Shaw. He is a 2004 graduate of Canton Central School. He graduated from SUNY Canton in 2009 in Automotive Tech. He is a heavy equipment operator with Paradise Valley.
