Kara Lindy Fredette and Kristopher Frank Richards, both of Potsdam, are engaged to be married.

Kara is the daughter of Leola Fredette of Canton. She is employed at the Kinder Academy in Potsdam.

Kristopher is the son of Christine James of Snellville, Ga., and Frank Richards of Potsdam. He is employed at Parkway Express in Potsdam.

The couple is planning a June 11, 2016 wedding.
