John and Ellen Glasgow, Canton, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Julia Kate Glasgow, 413 Lake Rd., Star Lake, to Adam John Thompson, same address, the son of John Thompson, Star Lake, and Joanne Tebo, Rochester.

The bride is a 1994 graduate of Hugh C. Williams High School, Canton, and earned a bachelor of arts in elementary education and a masters in reading. She is employed as a first grade teacher at Clifton-Fine Central School.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Clifton-Fine Central School and studied wireless communications at SUNY Canton. He is employed as a technician with Altech Integrations.

A July 30, 2011 wedding is planned.
