St. Lawrence County's unemployment rate in May was 5.3 percent that’s down from 6.2 percent in May of 2017, according to the Department of Labor.

The overall, statewide unemployment rate in May was 4.6 percent.

The number of employed people reported in St. Lawrence County in May was 40,100, compared to 40,800 during May last year.

The number of unemployed people in May 2018 was 2,100 compared to 2,300 in 2017.
