North Country This Week
POTSDAM -- St. Lawrence County realtors are now able to show homes in-person, as part of phase 2 of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s plan to re-open the state economy.
Some regions entered the second of four reopening phases laid out by Gov. Cuomo, with hair stylists, barbers, law firms and real-estate agents among those who would have been allowed to return to work.
Sandstone Realty owner Doug Hawkins said that exact details are not known yet, but he envisioned it requiring masks, hand sanitizer and extra cleaning measures.
Just who is responsible to make sure homes are clean?
“The responsibility falls on everybody,” he said.
Disclosures are also expected to warn people about the dangers of being exposed to COVID-19.
Sandstone Realty has opened a branch office, located at 22 Depot St. Suite #6. The main office remains at 8149B U.S. Highway 11.
The new location will be managed by associate broker Katie Geidel.
Hawkins said the new location will allow people to meet with agents downtown and that the more central location is likely more convenient for customers.
To contact Geidel at the new office, call her at 315-244-1663. The main office can be reached at 315-265-2111.
