St. Lawrence County lost 200 non-farm jobs in April 2019 compared to the same month last year, according to the state Department of Labor.

St. Lawrence County had 39,600 non-farm jobs in April 2018 and in 39,400 May 2019, DOL said.

That’s behind the state’s statistics, where 26,300 jobs were gained over that time, a .2 percent increase, DOL said.

To the east in Franklin County, non-farm jobs remained flat at 18,600 from April 2018 to 2019, DOL said.

To the west in Jefferson County, non-farm jobs dropped by 400 from 41,400 to 41,000, according to DOL.
