The St. Lawrence County Free Trader will cease publishing for the foreseeable future due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that we cannot continue to publish the St. Lawrence County Free Trader at this time,” a statement on their March 26 edition said.
They cited a loss in advertising following state mandates for all non-essential businesses to close.
They said they made “every effort” to remain open and continue printing the paper, but it was not financially viable.
The statement said they hope to return as soon as possible.
