POTSDAM -- Simon Anderson, global futurist and co-author of “Foresight 20/20,” will keynote the next North Country Technology Symposium May 23 at Clarkson University.
His talk, “Understanding the Technology of Tomorrow Can Transform Your Business Today,” is about emerging technologies and trends that are transforming business and the opportunities for organizations and businesses willing to consider the future when making decisions today.
“We view Mr. Anderson’s message an important opportunity for NNY leaders to consider how their organizations are going to align with emerging technologies, both as stand-alone and as members of our community,” said event co-chair Laura Perry.
This symposium is the region’s largest B2B event presenting the latest technology topics for businesses and organizations.
In the third year of the symposium, 30-plus presenters are lined up to talk about applications of technology helpful to local government, agriculture, small business, education, community service, and artisan businesses. The sessions provide a chance to learn from experts, talk to service providers and network with colleagues. Cost is $45 when registered by April 23.
There are novice- and expert-level topics on cloud computing, Google applications, geographic information systems, free online tools, emerging technologies, mobile applications, and updating a website.
Attendance is expected to exceed 200 participants, Perry said.
