Concerns about listeria contamination have prompted Price Chopper Supermarkets to voluntarily recall its Regular Homestyle Potato Salad.
The product in question was sold by the pound in the stores’ delis between March 19 and March 28.
In addition to alerting the media, Price Chopper is using the company's AdvantEdge (loyalty) card purchase data and consumer phone numbers on file to alert households that might have purchased the Regular Homestyle Potato Salad.
The company is urging customers to return any of that potato salad purchased between March 19 and 28 to the store for a full refund.
Customers with questions may speak with Price Chopper at (800) 666-7667, ext. 3 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The company did not say what prompted their fears. They say no related illnesses have been reported.
