POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Food Co-op will re-open for in-store shopping today (Monday, June 22).

New store hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and curbside service will remain available.

In-store shopping will also be available for elderly and immunocompromised shoppers only from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. (Just before the store opens to the general public.)

There will be a limit of 5 shoppers in the store at a time.

Customers will be asked to try to limit one shopper per household.

Shoppers must cover their face and allow six feet of social distance.

Hand sanitizing wipes and gloves will be provided.

Curbside service will remain the same. Find the online order form on the co-op website or call the store and place your order with a personal shopper.

The Co-Op will take the following precautions to help ensure safety.

Commonly used services will be disinfected every hour adhering to the interim guidance for cleaning and disinfection of food manufacturing facilities or food retail stores for COVID-19.

The majority of the bulk section will be pre-packaged. The gravity bins will remain the same and will be self-service. However, the bulk spice and tea section will be full service and shoppers will require help from the staff.

Hot coffee and soup will be full service and made available near the packaging room. The bulk kombucha from the kegerator and frozen drink machine will be self-service.

Co-Op staff will monitor the entrance so as to not exceed the limit of five shoppers, so customers may have to wait on the porch for their turn to enter.
