POTSDAM -- The Rotary Club of Potsdam will honor Sam and Carmela Spagnolo with the Service Above Self Award, and Shawn Seymour with the Paul Harris Award at its annual dinner Wednesday, June 29, at the Cheel Campus Center at Clarkson University.
Lowell Warner will be installed as 2011-2012 president while Neal Zirn will be honored as outgoing president.
The club will honor the Spagnolos, owners of Sergi's Restaurant in Potsdam, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the Potsdam community.
Seymour, a Rotarian and assistant chief accountant at Clarkson, will be honored for his commitment to the goals and purposes of Rotary and "in appreciation of their tangible assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world."
All Rotarians, and family, friends and colleagues of the honorees are invited.
A social hour with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar gets underway at 5:30 p.m. Music will be provided by pianist Kyle R. Tupper.
A buffet dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available through June 22 only for $35 per person.
