CANTON -- Norwood Plumbing won the bid to repair Canton Central’s pool.
The winning bid of $235,000 was accepted by the CCS Board of Education for the pool filter replacement project.
“The first bid process yielded only one bid so the decision was made to reject that bid and advertise the project,” said Ron Burke, Canton Central superintendent.
During the second round, there were two bids and Norwood Plumbing was the low bidder at $235,000, Burke said.
The district expects to wait until the end of the boys’ swimming season to fix its pool.
The pool filter has developed small pinhole leaks and the water heater needs replacement.
It is anticipated that work will start Feb. 3.
