Two Canton-Potsdam-area groups have been awarded grants by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern New York.

The Canton-Potsdam Hospital Foundation is receiving $5,900, to go for a pediatric heart monitor to replace an aging unit that can't be repaired and is not very user-friendly.

The Norwood Village Green concert series will get $2,000 in support of youth programming, including a concert for kids at Norwood-Norfolk Elementary school, and concerts and workshops at Crane Youth Music camp, and a family concert by a duo that have created youth education programs in the Washington D.C. area, including programs at the Smithsonian Institution.
