The North Country Regional Economic Development Council is holding several Consolidated Funding Application workshops for guidance in applying for funds under the Regional Economic Development Council process.
The workshop nearest us is at the Dulles State Office Building, 317 Washington St., Watertown, in 11th-floor conference room 3, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5.
The workshop includes an overview of the application and the process followed by informational breakout sessions on specific funding available for
• business assistance: direct assistance to business, low-cost financing, municipal/public infrastructure and workforce development
• community development: affordable housing, community and waterfront revitalization, parks, historic preservation and heritage areas, and transportation infrastructure
• energy and environment: energy and environmental improvements, low-cost power and sustainability planning assistance.
Other workshops are to be held at SUNY Plattsburgh and at the lake Placid Convention Center, both on Friday, Oct. 7.
