POTSDAM -- Todd Sanders, MD, a family practitioner, has joined Canton-Potsdam Hospital and will begin seeing patients Tuesday, Sept. 7.
Space is being renovated for his office at 190 Outer Main St. in Potsdam. Until it is ready, Sanders will be seeing patients at the C-PH Brasher Falls Community Health Center. He will continue to see patients in Brasher Falls one and a half days per week after he moves into his Potsdam office, which should be ready before the end of September.
Sanders received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, following pre-med studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He completed a residency in family medicine at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, N.Y.
Prior to becoming a family medicine physician, Sanders was an elementary school physical education teacher on Long Island.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
He has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications concerning emergency medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology. He and his family have settled in Potsdam.
