A new application for Apple and Android mobile devices is aimed at helping people locate businesses in central and northern New York.
CenterState Corporation for Economic Opportunity, a partner in New York’s Creative Core, has named the app Creative Core Connect. Consumers can search for businesses based on category, geographic area or by county.
A version for Blackberry is scheduled for release in June.
The app is a free download from iTunes and other outlets, and basic business listings are free.
Each business listing provides a link to its website, a call option, a map, and a button for walking or driving directions.
The listings can be filtered by county or the user’s location.
