POTSDAM – Residents in the vicinity of Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH), along with its patients and visitors will be seeing continued road work in progress for the Hospital’s Regional Care Pavilion expansion project next week.

Anyone coming to the Hospital’s main campus at 50 Leroy Street, Potsdam, on Monday or Tuesday, Sept. 12 or 13, is being encouraged to avoid using Cottage Street to access the parking lot. The least congested entrances to the Hospital’s main campus will be from Grove Street, or off Leroy Street near the Center for Cancer Care.

Beginning September 12, work resulting in the temporary closure of Cottage Street will be underway. Please note: the Emergency Entrance is identified as North in the accompanying map.

• Monday, Sept. 12: The east end of Cottage Street will be closed from the Emergency Entrance to the intersection of Cottage and Leroy streets. Please access the Emergency Entrance via the Waverly/Cottage intersection or use the main entrance off Grove Street.

• Tuesday, Sept. 13: The west end of Cottage Street will be closed from the Emergency Entrance to the intersection of Cottage and Waverly streets. Please access the Emergency Entrance via the Leroy/Cottage intersection or use the main entrance off Grove Street.

Also, beginning on Sept. 12, the western most Emergency Department parking area will be closed off and under construction to support the Care Pavilion project. Entrance into the Emergency Department will not be affected during this phase of construction. However, it is anticipated that this parking area will be closed throughout the remainder of the project.

Staff will have access to a new parking area in the north-west corner of the main parking lot off Grove Street. This is the new area of asphalt parking that was recently completed.
