LOUISVILLE -- St. Lawrence Art Gallery & Supply is now offering space for local artists to sell their work, as well as sell all sorts of art supplies and creative gifts.

Owner Bob Girard opened his store in early August at 14500 State Highway 37.

Aside from taking in submissions from local artists to exhibit their work and sell it, Girard hopes to offer classes, contests and artist showcases.

About a dozen artists are represented in the store currently. Girard says he is looking for more artists to display their work in his shop.

This year he is hosting a pumpkin carving contest with a $100 grand prize. Registration needs to be completed at the store. People can carve their pumpkins at home and submit a photo via email or post it on the businesses Facebook page.

For those in need, pumpkins are for sale at the shop.

Girard says art is not limited to just paintings. Anything handcrafted made locally is welcome to be sold in the store.

Other offerings include model building kits, a variety of paints, sketch pads, sculpting supplies, adult coloring books and more.

The store is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Girard and his partner run the store.

Contact the store at 315-705-4012, like them on Facebook or stop in the store.
