POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam Department of Anthropology Chair Dr. Karen M. Johnson-Weiner speaks at the next installment of the Women's and Gender Studies Anne R. Malone Lecture Series, on “Amish Women in Business” at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15 in the eighth floor lounge at Raymond Hall on campus.
In this talk, the anthropologist will draw on research, including interviews of Amish women entrepreneurs, to explore Amish women's entrepreneurial activity and their culturally and religiously defined role as homemaker and nurturer.
This event is free, and the public is welcome. Refreshments will be served.
