GOUVERNEUR -- Kinney Drugs, Inc. has announced the recent promotion of Owen Halloran of Canton to senior vice president of pharmacy procurement.
Halloran will continue to provide strategic and operational leadership on the management team and will serve on the company’s executive committee.
As senior vice president of pharmacy procurement, Halloran is responsible for overseeing all pharmaceutical purchasing for Kinney Drugs retail, mail order, and institutional pharmacy.
A 30-year member of the company, Halloran has led the pharmacy purchasing department since 1996 and third-party contracting since 1999. He began his career with Kinney Drugs in 1978 as a staff pharmacist and later served in management positions including his recent position of vice president of professional services.
Halloran serves as a member of the Kinney Drugs Foundation board and the board at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Founded in 1903 by Burt Orrin Kinney, the organization has grown into an employee owned company with a network of 91 stores in central and northern New York and Vermont.
