CANTON — The law firm of Lekki Hill Duprey & Whitton, P.C. has announced Megan J.M. Whitton as its newest partner, effective Aug. 1.
Whitton works at the firm’s Canton office, located at 21 Court St. She has been a member of the firm since 2014 and concentrates her practice in the areas of family and matrimonial law.
Whitton received a bachelor of arts degree and graduated Cum Laude with Honors from Wells College in 2003. She attended Syracuse University College of Law, earning a Juris Doctorate in 2006. She was admitted to the Florida State Bar in 2006 and the New York State Bar in 2011.
A Gouverneur native, Whitton continues to reside there with her family. She currently serves as the vice-chairwoman of the board of directors for the Ogdensburg Bridge & Port Authority and is a former member of the Board of Directors of Gouverneur Hospital.
Whitton joins existing partners Natasha B. Hill and Mathew P. Duprey at the firm.
Lekki Hill Duprey & Whitton, PC, handles workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability and SSI, real estate transactions and litigation, matrimonial law including divorces and legal separations, family law including child support and custody matters, vehicle & traffic violations, wills, and commercial collections. Randy L. Peets, of counsel, handles estates in the firm’s Massena office.
