WINTHROP -- A new business that offers storage, shipping, moving truck rentals and metal roofing is open in the former Stockholm municipal office building.

Danny Pike opened Undercover Storage at 607 State Highway 11C in the fall. In addition to renting storage units, they also rent U-Haul and offer UPS and FedEx shipping and returns. U-Haul products include trucks, trailers, and moving and storage supplies.

On top of that, they recently became an ABC metal roofing distributor. They offer special-order and metal roofing that comes with a 40-year warranty. They have 12-foot roofing panels, ridge cap and screws in stock now.

“My wife Bridgette and I, along with our daughter Everly and son Audric, bought this building at auction from the Town of Stockholm, December of 2018. The building was the site of the town office for many decades until they built a new building down the road from our location,” Pike said.

The business is about 15 minutes from Massena and Potsdam, and about a half hour from Malone.

“Our family's focus is to redevelop the building into a space that not only offers many conveniences to our local community, but also will bring business into our area from the surrounding communities,” Pike said.

The storage units are in the back of the 10,000 square foot building, which is locked and secured at night. They come in a range of sizes and prices.

Undercover Storage hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Their contact info is (315)208-4070 or storeitundercover@gmail.com .
