North Country This Week
FoodFetched Delivery is expanding to the Potsdam-Canton area this weekend.
Jerry and Stacia Sheppard and Jeff and Tracee Lago started FoodFetched Delivery in the Ogdensburg area earlier this year and are now making the move to the southern portion of the county.
Interested restaurants, drivers and hungry people can download their app using the Apple Store or Google Play.
Restaurant owners can contact FoodFetched to get their business signed up at foodfetched@gmail.com.
So far, Mr. Lago says St. Larry’s Bar and Grill, McDonald’s, Five Guys, Arby’s and Taco Bell have joined. Once opened above St. Larry’s, Sticky Rice Sushi will also be on board with FoodFetched.
FoodFetched hopes to add more local eateries.
Chain restaurants are welcome, but Lago’s goal is to help out local businesses and give them another delivery option. Deliveries can be made within a 15-minute drive, except for McDonald’s, which is a 10-minutes drive.
With the college students returning, Lago and the other owners felt now was a great time to expand.
He said drivers make $18-22 on average per hour and are outfitted with shirts, bags and other items needed.
People interested in working for FoodFetched can sign up Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at St. Larry’s Bar and Grill upstairs. Drivers need to be 18 years of age or older, bring their driver’s license and proof of valid vehicle insurance.
In Ogdensburg, the company currently partners with Bayside, Busters, Cams Pizza, Dougs, Ogdensburg Diner, Jackson’s Deli and Mack’s Restaurant to deliver food to within a 15-mile radius of Ogdensburg.
