Fly Factory aerial fitness studio hosting ribbon cutting at new location

MASSENA — The Fly Factory aerial arts studio is hosting a grand opening at their new location at 2 Water St. on Saturday, April 29 from 2-4 p.m.

The public is invited to the ribbon cutting and an afternoon of giveaways, 1-day grand opening sales, performances, and the chance to try out each of the aerial apparatuses.

Those attending will be able to meet instructors and ask questions about aerials.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Annette Swamp, owner of the fly factory, lived the first part of her life as a young wife, an educational counselor, and then a stay at home mom.

“Her passion for aerial fitness came later in life proving the statement true, it’s never too late to live your dream,” said a press release from the studio.

Swamp fell in love with aerial hoop/lyra after just one class and she became a certified instructor shortly thereafter. She went on to train in acro, pole fitness, aerial hammock, and then took the leap to open her first aerial fitnesss studio.

She also achieved teaching certifications in pole fitness, aerial hammock, RYT 200, and assisted Thai yoga.

The Fly Factory offers regular adult and kids aerial classes Sunday through Thursday.

Offerings include beginner and intermediate aerial hoop/lyra, beginner and intermediate pole fitness, and beginner aerial hammock, as well as monthly specialty workshops.
