CANTON –A Rochester communications firm will make a series of videos that will promote living and working in St. Lawrence County.
A number of local businesses and chambers of commerce have already been contacted by CGI representatives, who are offering chance to buy advertising that will be associated with the videos.
“If you’re contacted by CGI, we want you to know they are legitimate,” County Chamber Executive Director Pat McKeown said.
“We think it’s an exciting project that will give all of us another tool with which to promote St. Lawrence County to potential businesses and potential residents,” McKeown said. “The choice is yours whether or not to participate – there is no pressure.”
The videos will be featured on both the county government and county chamber web sites when completed.
The chamber is shepherding the project, in partnership with the county. Filming at various locations is set to take place in late May; the videos are expected to be online by Aug. 1.
Those wanting to know more about their community video and other programs can visit CGI’s website, www.cgicompany.com.
Anyone with questions about the local project can call the chamber at 386-4000.
