CANTON -- Farm Credit East’s Potsdam Branch recently made a $1,500 donation to Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County in support of a field trip slated for fall 2019 that will expose high school students to career opportunities in agriculture.
The field trip, entitled Cultivating Careers, will be open to 9th and 10th grade representatives from each of the county’s school districts.
Scheduled visits include a wide variety of agricultural producers, processors and agribusiness.
The project has been organized with assistance from the St. Lawrence County Planning Office, Ag and Farmland Protection Board and St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES.
