The St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging has a limited number of free farmers’ market coupon booklets left for eligible seniors who have not already received them.

The coupons are worth $20, redeemable at your local farmers’ market for fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables.

These coupons are free for those 60 years and over who are now receiving or eligible for SSI, public assistance, food stamps, section 8 Housing subsidy or whose monthly income is less than $1,678 if single or less than $2,267 if married. Only one coupon booklet will be issued per senior household regardless of how many low-income seniors comprise the household. Coupon booklets cannot be mailed to eligible seniors, and proxies cannot pick up and sign for coupon booklets.

The booklets are available first-come first-served at 80 State Rt. 310, Suite , in Canton.
