POTSDAM — B99.3 & Star 100.1 have donated about 200 new or gently used coats to the Potsdam Holiday Fund through their “Coats for Kids” program.

During November, the radio stations teamed up with area businesses and asked community members to donate coats at many participating locations.

The nearly 400 coats collected were presented for distribution to the Potsdam Holiday Fund and the Canton Church and Community Program.

Jeff Demo, owner of Potsdam Laundry and Dry Cleaning, donated the laundering of the gently used coats.

B 99.3 Morning Host Vinny Dalton held live broadcasts at various locations during November and collected coats.

The following businesses collected coats: Ashley Homestore, B99.3 and STAR 100.1, Barstow Motors, Bicknell Appliance & Home Interiors, Coakley Home and Hardware, Cycles Endurance & Sports, Merryman's Inc., Jreck Subs, LeBerge & Curtis, Mahoney Auto Mall, Ponderosa Steakhouse, Potsdam Laundry & Dry Cleaners, Potsdam Parts Plus, Sears Hometown Store, Sovie’s Cycle Shop, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, SummerHaven Pool, Home and Spa, T&R Wines and Liquors, The UPS Store.

The Potsdam Holiday Fund provides new toys, clothing, boots and food to families and senior citizens in need in Potsdam, Madrid, Hopkinton, Nicholville, Brasher Falls, Chase Mills, Fort Jackson, West Stockholm and Winthrop.
