AWESASNE -- Starting Nov. 30, the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays of each week. There will also be new table game hours starting Friday, Dec. 4. Table Games will now be open Fridays from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.

“While it is a difficult decision, it is the most fiscally responsible way to scale our operation to match our customer’s attendance patterns,” casino general manager Emily Lauzon said in an announcement of the new hours.

The casino will be open Wednesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. The resort will continue to follow the CDC recommended measures to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. These measures include social distancing, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing practices, requirement of face masks to be worn by everyone at all times, a no smoking policy, hand sanitizing stations placed throughout the property, reduced occupancy, along with temperature checks at entrance and more.

Thanksgiving will be business as usual, new hours start next week.
