POTSDAM -- Over 80 vendors with products for display and sale are lined up for the third annual St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Home, Garden and Business Show: The Really Big Show, May 20 and 21 in Clarkson University’s Cheel Arena.

The show will be open Friday, May 20 from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Don Meissner, host of “Rod & Reel Streamside” and representing the chamber’s FISHCAP project, will be in the chamber’s booth to meet the crowd Saturday.

Admission to the show is $1, which entitles attendees a chance to win door prizes.

Many vendors will have special booths set up, such as basket weaving demonstrations from Adirondack Baskets and Heritage Design and wine tastings and sales by Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards and Thousand Islands Winery.

Door prizes will be offered, such as a power tool from White’s Lumber of Gouverneur, a free lawn aeration from Valley Greenery Florist and Landscaping, two round-trip tickets to Albany or Boston from Cape Air, and many more.

New vendors this year include White’s Lumber, Bordeau Brothers feed and grain in Canton, and Alltech Integrations, an electronic security provider in Potsdam.

Mix 96.1, 101.5 The Fox and WMSA will broadcast live throughout the show.

Jo Ann Roberts, who is organizing the show for the county chamber, said she is hoping to attract some visitors in town for college graduations that weekend.
