GOUVERNEUR — Two North Country residents were charged with drug possession Tuesday following a traffic stop on State Route 11 Tuesday, according to state police.
Louis A. Massey Jr., 60, Antwerp, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop , in the town of Gouverneur.
Massey was reportedly found in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine and a digital scale.
Additionally, a passenger in the vehicle, Madison R. McIntosh, 23, Gouverneur, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after McIntosh was found in possession of a quantity of cocaine.
Massey was arraigned in the Town of Gouverneur Court and remanded without bail to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, troopers said.
McIntosh was issued an appearance ticket and released, officers said.
