The Real Amsterdam - What you won’t learn about Amsterdam as a tourist

WADDINGTON -- The Hepburn Library of Waddington, 30 Main St., will present the talk "The Real Amsterdam - What you won’t learn about Amsterdam as a tourist" on May 4 at 2 p.m.

Rudy Sinkeldam , the presenter, grew up in Amsterdam He immigrated to the United States at the age of twenty. Rudy has a wealth of knowledge about the Netherlands and Amsterdam and says, “You can’t tell the story of Amsterdam without knowing about the boats.”

His hobby is constructing model boats, some of which will be on display.

Rudy has served the library as a trustee and his late wife, Martha, also was Librarian and longtime member of the Friends of the Library.
