OGDENSBURG -- Get ready to dive into a literary treasure trove as the Friends of the Ogdensburg Public Library gear up to host their highly anticipated Spring Book Sale.

The event will take place in the library auditorium and the Friends' bookstore, nestled in the basement of the library located at 312 Washington St.

From Wednesday, May 1 to Saturday, May 4, book lovers can indulge their passion with a vast array of offerings.

The sale kicks off on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m., followed by extended hours on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and culminating on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m..

Attendees can expect to find an eclectic selection covering everything from fiction, non-fiction, and children's books to media and puzzles. Hardcover and full-size paperbacks for both adults and young adults will be priced at $3, while small paperbacks, CDs, audiobooks, and puzzles will be available for $1 each. DVDs can be purchased for $2.00, and children's books for a steal at $0.50. Additionally, loyal Friends of OPL members will enjoy a 50% discount on Wednesday through Friday.

The highlight of the sale, Saturday's $5 bag sale, promises unbeatable value. Shoppers can fill a provided bag to the brim with literary treasures, making it a perfect opportunity to stock up on summer reading materials.

For those seeking something extra special, a curated selection of rare, old, or exceptional books will be available at marked prices, not subject to discounts.

"We're thrilled to invite the community to our Spring Book Sale," said Wendy Hamilton, President of the Friends of OPL. "Not only is it a fantastic opportunity to discover new reads, but it also supports our mission of providing invaluable support to the Ogdensburg Public Library."
